This proposal is submitted to the Hope Givers Initiative to provide essential white canes, orientation and mobility training, and academic assistive tools for the Ifite Blind Residence.

The Ifite Blind Residence is a community of more than 130 visually impaired students, graduates, and vocational trainees affiliated with Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

What funding provides

  • White canes & orientation/mobility training
  • Digital recorders, On-the-Go keyboards, power banks & noise-cancelling headphones for students
  • Biannual need-finding surveys & in-person vetting
